The Health & Well-being Project

February 25, 2018
2-4pm

I have learned so much while trying to heal my body and get healthy over the past couple of years that I feel like it’s time that I share what I’ve learned.

As a life coach, I believe our well-being is the foundation of everything we do, so I hope that sharing the information I discovered on my journey will provide you with the knowledge, support, tools, and resources you need to develop a healthier life for yourself!

A little bit about my journey...

Although I was "healthy" according to traditional medicine, I found myself struggling to "feel good" for many years. Then two years ago I had a major wake up call.

I was working so hard to keep up with my “normal” life that I didn't see the signs that my body had had enough. It took my immune system shutting down and Cortney, my good friend, and very observant chiropractor, to point out that it’s not normal to get “colds” as often as I had over the last six months (I was literally coming down with a knock out cold every 3 to 4 weeks). With her encouragement (and doctor recommendation), I went in for tests, and it turned out that my body was loaded with toxins and inflammation, my adrenal glands weren’t working correctly, my immune system was shot, and my Vitamin D levels were super low.

Knowing what I know now, I realized my symptoms started in my early 20’s, but I wasn’t educated on the functions of a healthy body or the signs of a sick one.  Hell, I honestly don't think I ever experienced what a truly healthy body felt like! I spent nearly 40 years eating foods and using products that I didn’t know were making me sick. That’s the difference between an allergy and a sensitivity…an allergy will give a noticeable and instant reaction (think, EpiPen), where a sensitivity does its damage over time.

My doctor put me on an anti-inflammatory diet, a regimented sleep schedule and a bunch of supplements. I was scared shitless, and so I started doing research. I began learning about inflammatory foods and the damage they cause, foods that provide healing nutrients and vitamins, and different supplements to help me heal. I also discovered that the personal products, cleaning supplies, and even the cookware I used had chemicals that contributed to my health challenges.

I had to educate myself, and now I want to help educate and empower you to take control of your health and well-being, that's why I'm hosting The Health and Well-being Project. And since I don’t have all the answers, I recruited a few of my trusted advisors to join me and help me provide you with a ton of great information and answers to your questions.

This is a free event, however, I will be accepting donations for Safety Town. I hope you’ll join us!
